BIEL, Switzerland--(BUSINESS WIRE)--IXYS Corporation (NASDAQ:IXYS), an international leader in power semiconductors and ICs for Power Conversion, announced today a new high voltage diode called DNA30E2200PA. This 2200V specialized rectifier in a TO-220 housing is designed as a decoupling diode for Photovoltaic systems in the Renewable energy applications, where Solar Panels are deployed to provide power into the electrical grid.
The new DNA diode, represent a new “DNA” family of products, within the long, proven tradition of the high voltage high performance product from IXYS. Excellent electrical characteristics, ruggedness and reliability are the key features of this high performance part. It is designed and optimized to fulfil all industrial standards. Furthermore, it covers the enhanced requirements for photovoltaic systems (IEC 62548). This new standard includes an increase of the system voltage that leads to the higher voltage requirements for the specialized power semiconductors in these applications.
