Octus Energy and SolarNet Partner to Pursue Renewable Energy Efficiency Projects

DAVIS, CA--(Marketwire - March 25, 2009) - Octus Energy (OTCBB: OCTI) today announced it has signed a dealer agreement with SolarNet, Inc. to collaboratively pursue the development, financing and management of solar energy and energy efficiency projects for the commercial, non-profit and government markets. Under terms of the agreement, Octus Energy will serve as an independent, non-exclusive dealer of SolarNet's renewable energy systems, construction services, and project financing.

"SolarNet is an integral partner for Octus as we seek to secure, finance, deploy and own large-scale renewable energy efficiency projects," said Chris Soderquist, Octus CEO. "SolarNet's end-to-end solution and historical success in developing and financing energy projects is commendable. They've done it before, and we look forward to proactively and collaboratively pursuing projects."

SolarNet facilitates solar energy solutions by combining skilled contractors, tax equity investors, quality products and energy users into one nationwide solar network. SolarNet executes large commercial projects by leveraging three related businesses: DC Power Systems (the largest privately held distributor of renewable energy solutions in the United States), Stellar Energy Solutions (a leading, full-scale solar project integrator), and Solar Dawn (a national leader in the creation of Power Purchase Agreement [PPA] syndications and project finance).

"Octus Energy, through their combinatorial approach of blending renewable energy and energy efficiency systems, is cultivating a unique and pragmatic economic value proposition," said David Michalek, SolarNet COO. "There is latent market demand for such a combined solution. Collectively, we're poised to make it happen."
