Sixtron Receives Initial $1.5M Funding From Sustainable Development Technology Canada

MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sixtron Advanced Materials (www.sixtron.com) announced today that it has completed the contracting phase with Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC), an arm’s-length, not-for-profit corporation created by the Government of Canada, and has received an initial $1.5M in funding. The contract formalization between SDTC and Sixtron follows the July 2008 announcement by SDTC to approve project funding to Sixtron. The mission of SDTC is to support the development and demonstration of clean technologies in Canada by providing funding to bridge the gap between research and commercialization for projects that benefit both the environment and the economy.

“This funding from SDTC will allow Sixtron to accelerate delivery of our technology to our customers,” said Sixtron CEO Zbigniew Barwicz. “In this challenging economic climate we are especially pleased to receive this critical boost to our product development roadmap.”
