PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Solar Energy Initiatives, Inc. (OTCBB:SNRY), executing on a grass roots campaign, “RENEW THE NATION”, to help redeploy a portion of the U.S. work force and focus on reducing the world’s dependence on fossil fuels by selling solar thermal and photovoltaic (PV) technologies, today announced that the Company has hired Mr. Dean C. Leischow as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Mr. Leischow joins the Company at a critical time as Solar Energy Initiatives is pursuing multiple large scale commercial contracts and experiencing rapid growth within their solar university and dealer network. Mr. Leischow will assist the entire management team in driving key sales and marketing initiatives for the Company during this hyper growth stage Solar Energy Initiatives is experiencing. He will focus on large scale municipal projects like the one Solar Energy recently signed for $6.5 million with a school district located in the Western United States.

Mr. Leischow most recently was the President of Leischow Group Inc. which provided Energy Consulting Solutions targeted to several markets. The most prominent was multi-location restaurant and retail but also the private college and university markets. The company advised its clients on how to best procure natural gas and electricity as well as minimize the demand within their facilities for these commodities. Over an 8 year period the company designed supply and demand management solutions for clients and oversaw the implementation of these solutions to over 14,000 facilities throughout the US and Canada. The Leischow Group grew to annual Sales of $16 Million and a managed utility supply base in excess of $150 Million. The executed programs resulted in a reduction in an estimated $300 Million in annual energy consumption. Prior to starting the Leischow Group he served as the Director of Energy Performance Contracting for Siemens USA. He also held several executive rolls at Honeywell Inc. from 1986 to 1995.
