REC Solar Opens New Office to Provide Residential, Commercial Solar Systems to Arizona Customers

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--REC Solar, Inc., a San Luis Obispo, Calif.-based provider of grid-tied solar electric systems for residential and commercial customers, announced today it has opened an Arizona office and has begun installing systems in the Phoenix market. The company, which was founded in 1997 and is one of the nation’s largest solar integrators, now has operations in six states that along with Arizona include California, Colorado, Oregon, Hawaii and New Jersey.

REC Solar offers customers a complete solar solution from custom engineering and solar education to flexible financing assistance and online system monitoring. The company’s financing solutions include traditional loans as well as affordable leases for residential customers and power purchase agreements for business clients.

“We have seen tremendous customer demand in Arizona recently thanks to the combination of lucrative government incentives and attractive financial payback,” said Angiolo Laviziano, REC Solar President and CEO. “We’ve always known Arizona had plenty of sunshine, but finally all of the stars have aligned to make it both environmentally correct and financially sound.”

REC Solar has received accolades both nationally and regionally for its commitment to the environment and for its world-class customer service. The company has been ranked by the California Energy Commission (CEC) as one of the top solar system installation companies in the state.

Bringing solar power and solar providers to Arizona has been a focus of a wide range of government and civic groups from the Office of the Mayor of Phoenix to the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC). The Arizona legislature is also looking to further reward renewable energy companies for locating in Arizona and for creating jobs and making investments in the state through several bills.

“REC Solar can help meet the growing demand of businesses and homeowners who want solar panels installed on their rooftops,” said Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon. “The City of Phoenix welcomes REC Solar and is pleased they will complement our vision to become the first carbon-neutral city in the country.”

While REC Solar is a national company, it works to integrate into the communities where it operates and hires local employees to fill a variety of roles such as sales, marketing and installers.

“We are committed to providing competitive jobs in the communities that we serve and expect to grow our team in Arizona significantly over the next months and years as the demand for solar power continues to accelerate,” said Cary Hayes, REC Solar’s sales manager for Arizona and Colorado.

Homeowners and businesses interested in learning more about the benefits of solar energy can call REC Solar at 888-OK-SOLAR for a free on-site estimate. The company also features an innovative Solar Analysis Widget (SAW) on its web site at www.recsolar.com that uses satellite imagery to measure the roof of your home or business and then provides the user with an estimate of how much money they can save with a solar system.
