Day4 Energy's First solarSYSTEMS Franchise Partner is Fully Operational

BURNABY, BC, Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ - Day4 Energy Inc. (TSX: DFE), a leading global provider of solar photovoltaic (pv) products and solutions, announces that one of the first franchise partners to join Day4 solarSYSTEMS turnkey manufacturing program, Gebäude-Solarsysteme GmbH (GSS) of Thuringia, Germany, is fully operational and delivering Day4 branded solar pv modules for custom applications - ahead of schedule. This announcement comes several months ahead of the anticipated production launch schedule. When operating at maximum capacity, the line is expected to produce 15MW annually and generate significant royalty revenue for Day4 Energy.

As the oldest and most respected PV company in Germany, GSS is the first solarSYSTEM partner to begin the manufacture and distribution of Day4's advanced solar modules for its roof-integrated PV solutions and other building integrated PV (BIPV) products based on high efficiency, monocrystalline solar cells. With strong market presence in France and Belgium, the addition of the Day4 solar technology and manufacturing processes extends the reach of Day4 branded products into a new vertical market. And as solar approaches grid parity in many markets, combining PV technologies with construction materials is becoming increasingly important with the rapidly growing BIPV market.
