Stellar Solar Seeks to Ease Political Divide With Innovative Marketing Campaign

SAN DIEGO, May 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Stellar Solar, one of California's leading commercial and residential solar integrators, has launched a unique marketing campaign that highlights the political differences of their top executives and the political diversity of their customer base. Stellar Solar partners Kent Harle and Michael Powers lean to the far right and left respectively yet have worked as a team for over a decade, growing Stellar Solar into one of San Diego's leading residential and commercial solar providers. Their customer base is also all over the map politically. The radio spots can be heard on a wide variety of stations including XX 1090 AM sports talk, KFMB AM, a conservative talk station, and KPRi, 102.1 FM.

"Our marketing agency, Artichoke Creative, has seen us butt heads politically, then drop it and move on to do what's best for Stellar Solar," said Kent Harle, CEO of Stellar Solar. He added, "They approached us about highlighting this unique relationship -- and the fact that solar power actually transcends politics -- as part of a media campaign. The result is a very honest portrayal of how we both feel about solar, and it's connecting with listeners."

Michael Powers, Kent's partner and Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Stellar Solar, added, "The next six months promise to be more politically divisive than ever. But green is the new red, white and blue. Just look at our military, which is one of the biggest investors in renewable energy -- for national security reasons." Thanks to the new zero-down solar lease, he says solar power is now within reach of every homeowner who wants to cut their electric bill significantly. "I don't know anyone, left or right, who does not want to have more money in their pocket at the end of the month," he concluded.

Stellar Solar has been in business since 1998 and offers free solar site evaluations to home and business owners throughout San Diego County.
