Sphelar Power Corporation Brings the New Shape of Solar to Kickstarter

KYOTO, JAPAN--(eSolarEnergyNews)--Sphelar Power, a spherical solar cell research, development, manufacturing and distribution company have launched a campaign on America’s largest crowdfunding website, Kickstarter, to distribute the “Sphelar Lantern” and “Sphelar Stick”. Both products are already currently available in Japan.

The solar lighting products use spherical photoreceptor solar cells called “Sphelar”. The hourglass inspired Sphelar Lantern features a natural wood finish on the center grip and a soft, ambient light that will add to the décor of any dinner table or bedside. The other Sphelar product to be offered on the Kickstarter is the Sphelar Stick, a solar flashlight with a functional cylindrical design and LED light for everyday or outdoor use. Designed with purpose by the creative collective, graf (Headquartered in Osaka), both products are meant to instill a love for everyday life.


The Kickstarter Campaign


The campaign on Kickstarter will run from November 9th, 2016 to December 15th, 2016 (JST) with a funding goal of $20,000 USD. Rewards for pledging to the campaign begin at $129. The funding will be used for international distribution localization and production.
